Money has been tight at Yarmouth recently and this reflected in the poor facilities and the even poorer prize money which results in some pretty low grade racing. Having said that the course is quite pleasantly located at the seaside.

Yarmouth is a very fair course, it is very flat with a run in of five furlongs. There is also a straight mile course. When the going is fast it is very fast due to the chalk make up of the soil

  • The Eastern Festival: The three-day Eastern Festival is the highlight of the course's season and traditionally takes place in September.
  • Home of the John Musker Fillies' Stakes: This Listed race is one of Great Yarmouth's most prestigious contests and has been won by several high-class fillies and mares.
