The Jumps course at Newcastle is run inside the flat course, and it many ways the course is very similar to Cheltenham in that it is a galloping left handed track with a long uphill run-in and some very stiff fences, which finds out any horses with stamina doubts. The course is a mile and a quarter and has ten fences per circuit.
